Resources for Experienced Agents"Because life is to short to DO it all the hard way."
Organization Basecamp, by 37Signals If you work with a team or an assistant, Basecamp is the ultimate collaboration tool. Instead of having to call and email each other constantly, the status of tasks and projects is visible online in the beautifully simple (yet versatile) Basecamp hub. Assign tasks to yourself and others, and check them off as they get done. Attach messages, upload files, post and edit documents, and compare different versions of the same document as it goes through revisions. There's more - you can try out the free version, or upgrade to the calendar and time tracking versions. (If you work on your own, check out Backpack instead.) Client Management Software Highrise We haven't used Highrise ourselves yet, but since it's made by the ever efficient 37Signals we're betting it's pret-ty hot. You can get a good overview of its features at the Highrise tour page. Incorporation Nolo.com In addition to being the go-to source for pretty much everything law-related, Nolo also has a great page with information about business ownership structures, including the pros and cons. Hiring a VA (Virtual Assistant) Delegate Now We haven't used this service ourselves, but we've met the Seattle-based owner, Betsy Talbot, and have a very good impression of her - reliable, detail-oriented and professional was our take. So if you're looking into hiring a VA, Delegate Now is definitely a service to check out. Other potential sources for VAs: Real Estate Virtual Assistant Training Center International Real Estate Assistant Association (We haven't tried either of these, so use your best judgment.)
Don't be offended, Experienced Agents, but we put many of our favorite resources on the New Agent page so we think you should head on over there.(The fact is, many of those resources we just found in the last year or two - so we're figuring you might not have stumbled upon them yet either.) So, nothing implied - we know you're pros. But head on over with us to the New Agent page, and we bet you find something useful there.
